The One With All the Target Finds

Happy Friday! I don't think I have ever been so happy to see the weekend. I'm hoping we'll finally get two days of nice weather because it feels like that hasn't happened at all this year, but rain is in the forecast once again. In my last post I mentioned the Target sandals I've been loving, but I've had really good luck with everything at Target lately-- specifically their Universal Thread line. I haven't really shopped for clothes in over a year and post-pregnancy I'm not used to things fitting, so it was a nice treat to really like everything I'm sharing in this post. affiliate links are used in this post, earning me a small commission for clicks & purchases. (dresses from left to right)
This button front dress is a dress I would buy in multiple colors. Speaking of color, it's definitely hot pink, not red, as the website lists. I sized up so the bust wouldn't be too tight even though it does have some stretch with a smocked back & most things in this line seem to run big.

Usually I steer clear of anything that hits below the knee, and I didn't realize that was the length of this dress until I got home and tried it on, but I actually really liked it! I got my regular size but maybe could have sized down because it's really loose/flowy.

I think red and navy is one of my favorite color combos and I love wrap-style dresses. I loved that this dress is lined, though I almost returned it because there's a clasp at the top that's in a weird spot on me aka it doesn't stay closed, but it was easy to remove. It needed to be like two inches lower, so I might pin it or I actually think it might be fine without it.

Racerback tanks are probably my favorite summer clothing item right behind dresses. I tried one from the A New Day line and they were too short and too boxy on me, but the above pictured by Universal Thread fit me so nicely! I started with one (in the mustard color) & now I have five different colors, which I momentarily thought might be excessive but then I realized I got 5 shirts for $25 and it felt like a pretty good deal. Right now they're 2 for $10 + 20% off!

I think shorts are the hardest clothing item for me to find that fit correctly and are comfortable and flattering. I love a good pull on stretchy short that can be dressed up a little bit, so I was really excited to try these pull on shorts <-- the actual name, lol. I got my regular size because bottoms aren't usually something I'd size down in, but they were too big so I exchanged them for a smaller size & I maybe could have went down another size-- they are nice and roomy!

I kind of thought there was no way a pair of white denim shorts I ordered online would fit me, but these fit SO WELL. I love when I find shorts that fit in the hips and waist but aren't super tight around my thighs, and these have a comfortable amount of room. They are super stretchy so I'd size down in these too. As I liked the white denim so much, I decided to get a pair of regular denim in the same mid-rise midi short. They fit a little bit different, but are super stretchy and comfortable. I'm hoping they won't stretch too much!

Overall I've been really pleased with this line-- super affordable for nice quality. The shorts are all under $20 regular priced and are bogo50% off right now. Dresses are currently 20% off.

What have been some of your favorite Target finds recently?

  3. Such great finds. The target near me is under construction and the store is just a disaster so I have been avoiding it. But I think I really need to go and check it out. They use to have the cutest summer clothes.

  4. I have been buying all the shoes from Target lately, but haven't bought many clothing items other than a swim top. I do have a tshirt in that brand. I will have to check out some of the other stuff. I love when I find a line there that I love.

  7. Target sizing is a hit or miss with me but I really want to try the new Universal Threads line. I've heard a lot of good things and since they're all basics, I think fit wouldn't be too much of a problem.

  8. I absolutely love that wrap dress! I totally agree with the fit of shorts, too. Such a struggle and never something I can buy without trying on first. You had so many awesome finds!

  12. when i find a top i like, i buy them in all the colours. especially because they don't seem to last as long as other items of clothing (or maybe that's just me). shorts are the hardest thing for me too, pear shape is not fun lol. i'll have to try those pull on shorts!
