Sometimes I don't know why long books intimidate me so much because two of my favorite books (the goldfinch, a prayer for owen meany) are on the long side. If I'm feeling brave I might finally attempt something by Stephen King. Otherwise probably The Luminaries because I started it once and liked it, but wasn't able to get very far into it before it was due back to the library & I've put off picking it up again because of the length- 800+ pages! Also considering Middlemarch!
