The Memory Keeper's Daughter finally arrived from Amazon. I very rarely buy books, but after reading Kristen's post on buying inexpensive books I decided to check the used section on Amazon and this one was available for under $4 with Prime free shipping. I was kind of annoyed because the book arrived and the cover was literally hanging on by a thread, but I guess that's considered 'good'? The rest of the book is fine and it was nothing a little scotch tape couldn't fix.
As much as I think I don't have a preference between e-books and traditional books, I find it really hard to read a physical book after I'm used to e-books-- it kind of messes with my mind not being able to see how many minutes I have left in a chapter.
Speaking of books... a few weeks ago I won a giveaway from BookSparks-- I had no idea what to expect as a part of my prize package, but I was so pleasantly surprised.
I would say, I never win anything but (like a year ago) I won a giveaway Jaelan was hosting and I finally used my Kate Spade gift card on a few things. A mini wallet-- perfect for my small bags, and then a makeup holder-- perfect for my bigger bags!
When I finished up my last little bit of the sweater weather candle I was burning I was anxious to start using something a little more spring-like. The seaside citrus candle is lemon mixed with floral and smells nice and fresh, but has zero scent throw-- so disappointing.
Mozzarella sticks are possibly my favorite junk food so obviously I had to try the SkinnyTaste version. They're good, but the breading to cheese ratio just doesn't do it for me-- way too much cheese! The good thing is, you can make an entire package of string cheese and then just bake as many as you want at a time since they have to be frozen anyway.
What's happening with you this week? Are you loyal to e-books vs. traditional books?
