currently // vol 2

I'm back with another currently post-- or what I've been up to lately!

wishing | For it to warm up... was that my answer for last month too? Probably. It seems like we've been in this cycle of weather with snow, ice, rain, wind, more wind, maybe one nice day, and then the cycle starts over again. On a positive note the forecast is showing days in the 70's next week!

wish listing | I have two black smallish crossbody bags that I love, but we're traveling a bit next month and I want one big enough to fit my iPad-- can you tell I have a thing for tassels?

wearing | In the fall I was all about the plaid/flannel shirts, but then winter came and I was more into sweaters, so those shirts were stuffed in the other side of my closet and forgotten about. Until this last month where I wear one just about every day. I have three from Old Navy and then an extra-oversized one my mom gave me that I swear around the house instead of a zip-up or hoodie- so cozy!

reading | I was on a reading roll you could say and finished 5 books in February-- not bad for a short month! I'm sharing my next book post on Tuesday with Jana & Steph, but I'm currently reading Losing the Light by Andrea Dunlop and enjoying it so far. It got me through 34 minutes on the treadmill when I wanted to stop after about the first 45 seconds.

loving | fresh flowers. I know I'm late on this, but the $5 bunch of daffodils from the grocery store this week have literally brought me so much happiness- and they smell so good!

watching | In my first currently post I mentioned finishing Gossip Girl-- well I wanted something in the similar kind of mindless but fun realm, so I started watching Pretty Little Liars not sure it would stick... well I'm almost done with season 3, so that should tell you about how much it has sucked me in- Spencer is my unexpected favorite and I kind of love that she's engaged to Mike (from Suits) in real life. I'm also looking forward to a new season of House of Cards this weekend.

Linking up with; Joey, Kristen, & Christy | go linkup with them :)

  1. I'm a big fan of Gossip Girl and I was so surprised how much I've enjoyed Pretty Little Liars too! I used to never like shows like these. It's weird how your taste changes.

  7. Stalking your bag links. I'm traveling to Europe in April & while I don't usually carry a purse, I would love to have something to store my essentials in rather than my hand or back pockets.

  8. A book that can get you through 34 minutes on the treadmill is a book I want to read!

  9. The weather has been teasing us with a few days in the 50s or 60s and then a couple days later it snows! Ugh! I'm wishing for spring for sure!

  10. Gossip Girl is a perfect binge watch show. I can't get into House of Cards. We've watched most of the first season. Oh well.

  12. I get flowers from the local produce market for under $5 and they are awesome. Such a small investment for a large return.

Now that's a good book that can get you through the dreadmill when you wanted to stop in the first minute!

  13. There's no way I could get through a workout without my Kindle. I love how it makes me want to keep going. So excited for Tuesday--I basically only discover new books to read through blogging, so I always love reading those posts. I love PLL! I really love Spencer too, I think I'd have to say she's my favorite.

  14. Something must have been in the air - I got in 6 books in February too. That's funny you had a good month too.
I have been on the hunt for that color cross body bag myself!!!

  15. 70 degrees next week here too—yay! I'm just ready for it to even out, weather-wise. The 50's one day and then snow and ice the next is not a good time.
Nice reading speed! I've been DRAGGING through my last few books. Just not feeling anything right now.
OMG. Okay so I went to Gossip Girl after I finished PLL a few months ago at my friend's insistence. I wasn't sure I would like it but I was obsessed with both of those shows. Spencer is my favorite on PLL too!

  16. It seems like we're finally getting some good weather down here, and I'm so excited too! I'm just hoping that the really hot weather holds off for a while so we can enjoy the Spring! PLL is so good! I read all the books a few years ago, and totally got sucked into the TV show! If I had to pick, Spencer would probably be my favorite too!

  24. I'm so jealous of all the reading that you accomplished last month - I JUST finished The Goldfinch, so I have lots of catching up to do. I love that you're enjoying PLL! It's definitely not as good anymore, but the early seasons are so addicting.

  27. I'm ready for warmer temps too. I feel like it really hasn't been that terribly cold, for the most part, but you're right about the cycle. Those warm days are such a tease and then they're over and it's back to winter. Not cool. I'm really hoping this is the end of it.
I bet the fresh flowers are such a great pick-me-up! I need to get some the next time I'm out!

  29. Isn't it so funny how happy fresh flowers can make you! Last winter I always made sure I had some in my kitchen to help me get through the cold and dreary days! I'm so with you about wishing for warmer weather! It feels so close but so far!

  30. I love those purses you have picked out. I really need a new bag as well but I really don't know what kind of bag I want. All I know is I want something a bit bigger and there are so many options out there :)

  31. For the longest time I thought that buying flowers was such a waste of money, but in the past few years I've totally come around! The smell of fresh flowers is like nothing else, and they are just so darn pretty!

  32. I really love those Crossbody bags! I haven't gotten into PLL, but I know so many people who love it. I'm waiting on the new Jane the Virgin to come out on Netflix, so maybe I need to start PLL.
    Cheers for warmer temps.
