writing | As a blogger it's probably pretty obvious I enjoy writing. This year I wanted to get better about journaling a little bit every day. I've been loving the Start Where You Are journal and the Instant Happy Journal

wishing | I know it's not very likely, but I'm really hoping for no more snow-- or extreme cold weather in general.
blizzard 2016
wish listing | Bags and sneakers and swimsuits.

reading | I picked out How to Have a Good Day by Caroline Webb as my next Blogging for Books read and it was the best decision I've made in a while. It's the best self improvement type book I've ever read and I love that it's full of science-based techniques, but still really easy to read and relatable. The research lover in me loved  that it was more than just Webb's personal stories and experiences.

wearing | I've been wearing these uggs as boots outside and as slippers inside. So warm and comfortable.

loving | This Lush bubblegum lip scrub I picked up before Christmas. I'll be honest, I'm not totally sure how much of a difference it makes in my lips, but it feels great and tastes amazing.

watching | Not Gossip Girl-- I finally finished season 6- I actually ended up skipping a few and just watching the final episode so I could get some closure. I really did enjoy it all the way through season 5, but season 6 was so weird. For current shows I've been watching Top Chef, Fixer Upper, and Superstore. My husband binge watched Making a Murderer, but I just couldn't get into it so I only saw a few episodes. What should we watch next?

  2. I JUST bought my first Lush lip scrub. I bought the "love" one? Limited Edition I think? Anywho - it really tastes great. I haven't used it long enough to know if it does anything to my lips.

I'm rooting for you to not get any more snow. I know y'all have had so much!

  3. I LOVE that lip scrub! It smells and tastes so good! And I'm wishing for warmer weather too but we're supposed to get a front coming through tonight so no such luck for me. At least I don't get snow though! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  5. I'm hoping there is no cold weather too, I just want it to be summer already! I've had that Lush lip scrub for a while and the only reason I got it was because it tasted good lol.

  6. I used to use the Lush popcorn lip scrub. Tasted great, not really a huge difference on the lips! LOL

I don't know, I think east coast at least might get out of this winter easy.

  9. My snow quota has already been filled for the winter too, thankyouverymuch.
You are seriously the only person I know who didn't like Making a Murderer. I couldn't believe it when you said that in your snap!

  10. If you haven't watched Parenthood, I highly recommend it. It is so good, and a girl who really loves family, it was the perfect show for me. I'll also have a post up in a couple of weeks on 20 shows to binge watch on Netflix. :)
As for the How to Have a Good Day, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I considered it from B4B, but ended up picking the Vegetarian, which is on it's way.

    1. I actually zipped through the first season of Parenthood and loved it, but haven't wanted to watch more of it (yet) because I know it will make me sad, haha. I'll definitely be on the lookout for your Netflix post :)

  11. I just finished watching Gossip Girl all the way through and I agree, season six was not great. It was clear since it was only 10 episodes that they were just trying to tie up all the loose ends. I already knew who GG was but I really hated the finale episode!

  12. I was really hoping for no more snow either (haha) and then we woke up to 3 inches this morning! Of course! We just finished Lost and LOVED it, every episode ended with a cliffhanger so it was a great binge watch.

  14. We LOVED and also hated Making a Murderer. It was addictive but a tough watch. We love The 100. I'd say it's Fantasy. I love UGGS!! I have two pair that I actually don't get to wear as often as I like. Hope the snow melts!!

  15. I used to love that lip scrub, but I think my lips are too sensitive for it!

  16. Look at all that snow! And it's 80 degrees here today so crazy. Love that swimsuit and I'm sure you're counting down the days until it's warm up

  17. I agree with you about GG - I don't know why the last season had to be so weird! I'm glad you started journaling, I've been doing that since I was younger and it always brings me happiness to do so. Have you guys watched Daredevil on Netflix? It's like a superhero movie meets Law and Order - we loved it!

  21. Oh how I heart Gossip Girl. And I loved Making a Murderer. Maybe give it another try? I've had to do that with shows in the past. Have you watched Friday Night Lights?

Love the mug. That's my favorite verse.

  22. Come visit me in AZ where there is plenty of sunshine and NO snow! I've been watching a lot of Top Chef/Master Chef as well, and my husband and I just finished all of Modern Family!

  25. That bubblegum lip scrub sounds yummy! I couldn't get into Making a Murderer either, but the hubs watched it. We just started watching Parenthood on Netflix and I love Younger on TV Land! Have a great weekend, girl!

  26. We are such Top Chef geeks too!! Did I just call you a geek? Oops. :) Anywho... This 'show hole' is getting really old. Matt and I really enjoy the trio of Chicago (Fire, Med and PD) shows, as well as Suits and Rizzoli and Isles. And for the record, I kinda want some measurable snowfall to hit central Illinois too! Is one snow day too much to ask!?!?

  27. As much as I totally want more snow, I have a huge work meeting where people are flying in for on Wednesday....So let's not have any snow, please.

  28. Can't wait to see your review on "How to Have a Good Day" - what a great title!
And love the lip scrub! I really need to invest in one because my lips are in need of some serious exfoliation lately!

  29. That book sounds really interesting! And I have those same Uggs and I wear the hell out of them through the winter. SO cozy and warm and comfy. I have that Lush lip scrub in popcorn and it tastes SO good! I actually do think it works, but that's just a bonus really ;)

  30. I use a Tarte lip scrub and it's AMAZING! I've used Lush before, too... you're right - they taste incredible!

  31. Im hoping for no more extreme winter weather for you too!

  32. I'm hoping for no more extreme weather everywhere else, too. I thought our cold snap had come and gone but it's back again. Love that the book you chose was such a winner! Totally agree on GG, season 6 was so not as good as the rest of the show. Those journals look really interesting.

  33. It's crazy, we've barely gotten any snow here all winter long! But I think my body is not used to the warmer winter temperatures because I've been getting sick so frequently this year :( I kind of see where you're coming from with Making a Murderer. I watched them all except the last episode and I found it interesting, but never got so passionate about it like a lot of people seemed to be.

  34. Oh my gosh that scrub sounds amazing and I can't wait to hear your final thoughts on that book! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  36. I'm currently binge watching Gossip Girl too! I'm on Season 4 and now I'm kind of nervous after you said it gets weird toward the end!
