Pass or Purchase Again? [vol 4]

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes: I don't know if these just enable me to be lazy about washing my face, but I think using them is at least better than going to sleep with my makeup on? I like these because they don't irritate my face at all. No redness or irritation, which is a huge plus for me after a previous bad face wipe experience. Ulta has double packs of these, which were recently bogo50% off so I got 4 packs for like $13!

L'Oreal EverSleek Reparative Smoothing Conditioner: It's crazy I finally used up this conditioner because I did not care for it and I thought it was never going to end! Now I don't have color treated hair, and it's not really excessively damaged, but I guess I thought if I used this maybe it would prevent damage too? It was just way too thick/heavy for my hair. Will definitely pass in the future.

Origins A Perfect World Toner: I picked up this toner after a previous toner I was using was making my skin so dry. This one is alcohol free (along with a bunch of other stuff), and I did really like it-- it had a light, pleasant scent, didn't dry out my skin, or cause any redness or irritation. However for a tiny little bottle it's expensive and it wasn't that great so I won't be picking this up in the future, but it was a really great product.

Almay Oil-free Eye Makeup Remover Pads: I'm not sure these are the most cost effective solution to removing my eye makeup remover, but they're really gentle, non-greasy, and they work. I had picked up the Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover that I've used in the past, but I can't use it because it makes my eyes blurry which totally freaks me out even though it goes away after a few minutes. These Almay pads are my current budget friendly item since the Lancome one is so expensive. I also stocked up on these when they were bogo50%.

Mary Kay Eye Makeup Remover: This is one of the only Mary Kay products I've ever tried, it was a gift from my mom, and I did really like it, but not enough to seek it out to purchase on my own. I liked it more than the Clinique eye makeup removers, but less than Lancome.

Lancome Hypnose Mascara: I've talked about this a million times, but if you're new around here this is my favorite mascara of all time and always a repurchase. Those this time I did pick up the doll lash version.

Have you recently used up any products you're loving?

  1. I have used those Simple wipes and they're pretty good. My favorite are the Burt's Bee's though. I will have to check out that mascara some time too! Thanks for sharing your reviews! :-)

  2. I need to check out that mascara. Always on the hunt for a good one.
I love how lazy I can be with these face wipes. I've only used the Neutrogena ones but I may have to give these a try - they are much cheaper then the ones I'm using.

  3. I was so bummed that the Almay eye remover pads didn't work for me! My friend swears by them and they're so much easier than cotton balls + liquid.. but it just didn't take my 18 layers of mascara off (that's probably the problem) haha!

  4. I love the makeup remover pads! I've been a fan forever. Definitely not the most cost effective, but they WORK.

  5. OMG - the Neutrogena eye makeup remover makes my eyes blurry, too! I thought I was the only one. I HATE that. I've been using the pads that you put under water and suds up (Olay? I think... although I'm using the walmart dupe), and I love the way they work, but they burn my eyes. ARG. I'm on the hunt for a makeup remover that isn't icky. I may check out the Almay ones!

  7. I heard such great things about Origins products, but never gotten around to trying them because I know they can be a bit pricey! xx

  8. I have used the Body Shops Gentle Chamomile Eye Makeup remover and I swear by it. I have seen it at Ulta and online.

  9. I've used the Target generic version of the Simple wipes, and I love them! I take them pretty much any time we are traveling. Glad you liked the Almay eye makeup wipes, too - those are my favorite.

  11. Lancôme makeup remover is the shit!!!!! So expensive though. Ever tried L'oreal Clean Artiste? It's similar and works just as well for wayyyyy cheaper!

  12. I always keep makeup remover or at very least baby wipes on hand because going to sleep with makeup on isn't an option for me, but doing the full cleansing routine isn't always an option either haha. That's an AMAZING deal at ulta for those babies! My cousin used to sell Mary Kay and I looooved their eye makeup remover too, but if you don't have access to someone who sells it it's not worth hunting down a representative for it :/

  13. I use Neutrogena (or the Target knockoff of it) eye makeup remover and it totally makes my eyes blurry too! It kind of freaks me out, but I just blink a lot or splash my face with water until I can see normally again haha!

  16. I try to wash my face every night but sometimes it's just not happening, and I totally believe using a wipe is better than nothing. The ones I use right now are Yes to Blueberries...I haven't found any that I really love though so maybe I'll give yours a try next time.
I recently found a moisturizer that I love at Trader Joes, of all places...for $4! I've spent years trying every fancy moisturizer under the sun so that was a nice surprise.

  17. I have to be soooo careful with make up remover clothes too... I'll have to check out the Simple ones. I have to use a brand that really gentle.

  19. I struggle with makeup remover as well. So now I just use cleansing towelettes and then actually wash my face. It may be overkill but it works!

  20. OK, can I just tell you how relieved I am that I'm not the only one that gets crazy blurry eyes from Neutrogena's Eye Makeup Remover? I always end up stumbling around the bathroom, convinced that my vision will never be the same.

  21. I LOVE Simple Micellar Water, so I need to try the wipes, next! I used the Mary Kay remover for a while, as well, but it's just too expensive to keep repurchasing!

  24. Simple wipes are the best! I wish I had gotten that deal though! I really need to go to Ulta more. My favorite product right now is my new Maybelline wine lipstick!

  25. There are so many things that I want to try from Origins because they sound really good, but the price of most things is just too much. I've tried and enjoyed Mario Bedescu toners, and they tend to last a long time.

  26. I've never gotten along well with any of the new Loreal Ever _ conditioners. Even though I have dry and damaged hair from bleaching, they seem too rich and make my hair super greasy but not very soft.. Tyler's Mum sells Mary Kay stuff so I use that makeup remover when I go stay at their house and it really is very effective, but it's pretty pricy so I've never bought it myself. I just stick with my micellar water for all makeup removing now!

  27. I love those Simple cleansing cloths too! Definitely worth it. And I've tried to Loreal product before and totally agree-way too heavy for me!

  28. I've heard a lot about those Simple cleansing wipes, but I haven't had a chance to grab a pack. I'll have to check them out soon though. Everyone raves about em'! :)

  29. I'm going to have to try those Almay eye-makeup remover wipes. I hate that blurry thing that happens with so many eye-makeup removers! Totally freaks me out too!

  30. i have been loving the Simple Micellar wipes--they are so good. And Lancome makes some of the best mascaras!

  31. I'm always looking for an eye makeup remover. I used the MK one when I was a rep and can't find anything that compares BUT I have yet to try the Lancome because of the cost. I've tried the Almay ones and was trying to use up the Neutrogena one before I got those. All about eyes with my comments, lol!

  32. The Lancôme is on my to buy list, heck, lots of things are on there haha..

I recently finished up my Chanel, I need to repurchase it! I love it!! Just really need to through the rest of the opened bottles!
