Favorite Blue & Green Polishes for Spring

Last year I was obsessed with all things light blue once springtime rolled around. This year I'm really just loving color in general, but when it comes to nail polish I really like a good blue/green shade. I pulled a few of my favorites out of my collection and thought I would share them in a blog post.

L'Oreal nail polishes are some of my favorite from the drugstore. If you've never tried one before and you're a fan of nail polish I definitely recommend picking one or two up the next time you're at Ulta or Target. It looks like pistachio dream was a limited edition color, but it's the perfect pale blue-green. (I think China Glaze's re-fresh mint might be a good dupe-- just slightly more green.)

It took me forever to try one of the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure polishes and I have no idea why because I had heard nothing but good things. Mojito didn't disappoint and it's a really pretty green that isn't too green.

Essie polishes really are not my favorite when it comes to formula and longevity, but because they seem to have the greatest shade selection that doesn't seem to keep me from picking up one or two every once in a while. Turquoise & Caicos is a classic for a reason- the perfect turquoise (duh), find me an oasis is a really pretty super pale blue where mezmerised is a bright royal blue.

Are you a fan of blue or green nail polishes? What are your favorite?

Also, a huge thank you to everyone who took my survey from my last post! If you haven't taken it yet, I would love if you took a few seconds to answer a few questions about my blog -->> survey here.

  2. I love the spring colors and the greens are one of my favorite. I find that Essie holds really well on my fingers and it's the only polish I use on my hands. However, I don't think I'm brave enough to wear that blue.

  3. I love blues when the warmer weather rolls around, especially Essie's Mesmerized - it's so pretty. But I also love midnight blues for the cooler months - I'm wearing a gorgeous one by Revlon right now! Blues are perfect for spring and autumn I say!

  5. Really love that Sally Hansen colour!! I might have to pick it up :) I have another one of the sally hansen salon manicure polishes and looooove it. The brush is amazing and makes applying it super easy and it's the perfect consistency. :) Also like blues for spring/summer! I have an Essie one that's similar to Mezmerized !!

  8. I completely agree about the shade selection of Essie but not loving the formula. Can you believe I've never actually tried a l'oreal polish OR the Sally Hansen salon manicure? Mojito might have to go on my shopping list!

  11. Thanks for all the recommendations! I've been looking for polish in these colors recently. I'm disappointed that the L'Oreal one was limited edition - they always seem to do that!

  15. I loooove this colour family. I have to say that Essie's formulas can be so hit or miss - First Timer is a super bright pastel (if that makes sense) that has a great opaque formula, but Turquoise and Caicos is just so thin and watery I hardly use it anymore. It's a shame because it's such a pretty colour! Mezmerised is so pretty, I don't think I have anything like it in my collection!

  20. I love all shades of green polish! I thought it was just me that couldn't use Essie (I told you, I suck at painting my nails) but I guess not? I always get suckered into buying it anyway though - the colors are really the best!

  24. I'm a total Essie junkie (#obsessie) so WHY have I never seen that beautiful dark blue shade!? I love it. I love T&C for spring too, and Mint Candy Apple, and Naughty Nautical... and the blues! Avenue Mountain, In the Cabana, Bikini So Teeny... too many nail polishes, not enough days of spring.

  27. I'm on the same page as you - yesterday I went out and bought two nail polishes in the exact same color family! I bought Essie's 'Butler, Please' (it's a cobalt blue) and Essie's 'Fashion Playground' (a pistachio green). I would also recommend Essie's 'Mint Candy Apple' as well (can you tell I really like Essie?) That L'Oreal shade is very pretty though. Thanks for the recommendation!

  37. I love a good minty polish. It's such a fun way to wear a light pastel on the nails. I have been thinking of adding a royal blue to my collection, and that Essie Mezmerised looks great!

  40. I don't have any blue or green polishes :( but I really like Essie Mezmerised, it looks so pretty! I will have to invest in some of those shades since I'm all about the pinks and the oranges.

  41. I don't know why, but I have SUCH a hard time painting my nails anything but pink, red, or french. I branched out and got a purple this weekend. *living on the edge* lol Maybe I'll break out some more exotic colors for a pedicure, if it's ever warm enough!
