Collective Beauty Haul

This is a bit of a collective haul of things I've picked up over the past couple of months. As you'll see at the end of the post, a few things took forever to ship so I didn't have them in time to take photos. Affiliate links are used in this post and I will earn a small commission based on clicks and/or purchases.

I only picked up two things during the Sephora VIB sale. The Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder in pale yellow had been on my wish list since I saw Amelia Liana talk about it in her contouring video. I imagine it as being a pressed version of the highly talked about Ben Nye Banana Powder. I prefer pressed powders and this one is extremely finely milled and feels nice and light on the skin.

I talked about the Bite Lipstick duo in my October favorites and when I saw they had a little holiday collection available at Sephora I had to pick up another duo in the Scarlett/Poppy duo. I kind of wish I would have got another one or two for gifts!

Ignore the foundation swatch! I decided to put the foundation in a separate post-- coming soon!
I went through my makeup not too long ago and almost all of my cream eye shadows were dried out. I picked up barely branded from Target a few weeks ago and LOVE it! I also picked up the L'Oreal infallible shadow in eternal sunshine. It's pretty & I like the two together, but I kind of wish I would have went with Mia's suggestion and got iced latte instead.

They're both more shimmery in better light, but the top is barely branded & the bottom is eternal sunshine
A couple weeks later I used my $15 Sephora rewards card on a few items. I was planning to buy the full-size of the Lancome eye makeup remover but this randomly happened:

I ended up ordering the Clinique Take Off The Day makeup remover instead. My mom gave me the Mary Kay eye makeup remover so I'm excited to try it and see how it compares to Lancome and Clinique. I also picked up the Clinique Moisturizing Lotion+. In the past I've preferred the gel version, but I need something a little bit heavier for winter- especially at night.

My more "fun" purchase was the St. Tropez Self Tanner Starter Kit. The last time I tried a self tanner it was the bareMinerals Faux Tan and I was not the biggest fan. It hardly showed up on my skin, which is not what you want after you spend forever applying it.

I finally decided to give the Mario Badescu Drying Cream a chance when it was 30% off at Ulta. I also picked up the L'Oreal Infallible Gel Liner. I'm excited to try both of these products, and will definitely be back on the blog with a review.

That wraps up this haul of a little bit of everything. What products have you been loving lately? Any new favorites?

  1. I literally JUST picked up iced latte--but because I was watching an old Ingrid video (like, back when she was in that old apartment and still dating luke--please don't judge me for following youtubers like celebrities, whatever). And her eyeshadow was just so freaking pretty. Looked in the description and she was wearing two infallibles: amber rush (which I already had) and iced latte. So I went out that afternoon and bought iced latte. I have a problem. I am seriously lusting after some bite lipsticks! I live over an hour from our closest sephora though so.... haha :) (And no, I won't order online. I live in a wonky little place and my house isn't recognized as an actual address--and our PO box sucks :)).

  4. I picked up that Bite lipstick last-minute while I was standing in line at Sephora over Thanksgiving because I remembered you posting about it! I don't normally wear a lot of lipstick but if I do wear it, I like bold colors, so it was perfect. I had never found a lipstick I was super crazy about (not that I've tried a ton), but I was really happy with the quality and formula of that one! And $12 for 2 lipsticks seemed like too good of a deal not to try it.
I used to use that Clinique moisturizer (the gel also) but haven't in a couple years. I do need some new nighttime moisturizer though so I've been thinking about switching back, but maybe the lotion would be better for winter, like you said.

  5. I like the Mary Kay remover but I haven't tried the Lancôme or Clinique so I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts. I need to try the loreal infallible shadows that everyone talks about!

  6. Barely Branded cream eyeshadow is one of my favorites! I typically use it for a base before I layer on my powder shadows. I also think you'll enjoy the Clinique moisturizer - I've been using that one for a while now instead of the gel since I also need more hydration this time of year!

  12. Sounds like an awesome haul of goodies!! I love those color tattoo eye shadows and need to pick up the latte color too. I used to use the MK eye shadow remover and really liked it. I just use the cheapo Neutrogena these days though. Unfortunately you can't purchase that stuff by the gallon though. ;) Have a great day girl!

  14. So much good stuff! Are you liking the Clinique eye remover? I got a sample of it but haven't tried it yet - I still love my old Neutrogena remover and not sure if I want to get hooked on another thing that costs more $$!! I think you'll like the St. Tropez bronzer way more than the Bare Minerals - can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!

  15. Looks like you got a variety of awesome products! I have that St.Tropez starting kit and I've been pretty pleased with it since it adds such nice subtle colour without being too obvious. I've liked everything that I've tried from Mario Badescu so I hope you enjoy the drying cream!

  18. Do you like the Mario Badescu product you purchased? I've been interested in getting his facial cleansers, etc because they are a great price, but I haven't heard many reviews about them.

  20. So many good things in here! I need to pick up the bite duo that looks awesome. The bobbi brown powder I am intrigued and that lancome eye maker remover is the best but I kept on spilling it so I've been using the sephora brand one and love it! Great roundup girl!

  22. I really love L'Oreal Infallible shadows and Iced Latte is one of my faves. I have Eternal Sunshine as well and I like how it looks in the middle of my eyelid with maybe a brown shadow in my outer-V area.
And that Bite lipstick shades are gorgeous!

  25. I was so curious about those double ended Bite lipsticks! Bummed I didn't pick one up now! I love MB drying cream.. curious to hear how it works for you! :)

  26. The drying cream is one of my favourite products, but be careful that you close it up quickly after using because it can dry up pretty quick if it's exposed to a lot of air. I'm thinking of transfering it by small amounts into a travel pot next time I pick it up to see if that helps. Just thought I would give you a heads up!

  27. I love Bite products! Those two shades look amazing. So sad I didn't pick them up at the VIB sale. I opted for a perfume I've been admiring for forever and my go-to BB cream, Dr. Jart.

PS just discovered your blog! Love it! :) I'm a fellow book worm and beauty junkie as well.
